Facilities

There are many aspects of the Queen Victoria Home that meet residents individual needs and expectations.

Therapeutic Pool

The beautifully appointed pool is available to the residents for both exercise and relaxation.

Extensions

The new Southern Wing houses the therapeutic pool, a visitor's kiosk/coffee lounge, resident accommodation - East and West, the Bridge Room, and the main auditorium.There is extensive signage throughout the Home.  This coupled with bright new surroundingsin the Peter Top Wing, enhances the service provided to the residents, their families and visitors.

Chapel

Features of the newly constructed Chapel include beautifully stained glass windows, spacious seating arrangements and a pleasant and calming atmosphere for all those who enter.

Surrounds

The Home is situated near the water's edge with magnificent views of the Derwent River. Tranquil, landscaped gardens surround the home for the residents enjoyment.

Accommodation

The Queen Victoria Home caters for both independent living and residential care accommodation.
These include single bedroom units and apartments, double bedroom units and residential places within the main building of the Home.

Activities

With over 180 residents, the Home has an extensive range of activities and therapy programs available to residents.Our Activities Co-ordinator is continuously expanding on activities that the Home has on offer, including residents leisure interests, support in education, hobbies and outings.
